2000 Toyota Tundra No Power To Fuel Pump Relay
2004 Tundra full cab v-8 --- Turn no-start condition led me deep into diagnostic hole fuel pump itself can work when jumped direct to positive battery cable via Fuel Pump relay socket.
2000 toyota tundra no power to fuel pump relay. I get power at the wires behind 3 of the 4 of the COPN relay socket. The relay Primary -or- control side is powered by Pin 37 RED wire at the PCM. The truck wont start at all unless we bypass the fuel pump and run the fuel pump on a seperate battery.
I would first verify that the main EFI fuel pump and ignition fuses are not blown as these can sometimes cut off power to the fuel system. If there is then remember that one. In addition the SRS indicator light is now on.
Using a 9v battery I was successful in sending voltage down the wire from the circuit opening relay circled in green to the fuel pump connector. Recently started having an intermittant issue of the fuel pump fuel injection system remaining on while I hold the keys in my hand which runs the battery down quickly. I pulled the pump out and it needs to be replaced however I have another issue as well.
Please like and subscribe if you found this helpfulHow to bypass your circuit opening relay with a jumper wire. Its circuit closes when powered up to the battery. Often the relay is controlled by the fuel pressure sensor.
I pulled the relay out turned on the ignition and checked for voltage at all the sockets that the relay mounts in. I tested the copen relay and had power to pin 5. Hi - Check the ignition switch.
With the circuit opening relay I noticed that the base whatever its called that the relay plugs into was only providing 2 volts. He ultimately concluded the plug going into the ECU which sends. Have tried replacing the fuel pump relay the efi relay and the copn relay to no avail.
