2005 toyota tundra tire pressure light blinking. Once I got back home I made an appointment at Discount Tire and they were able to just reprogram. They are asking around 700 for this part alone. 2015 Toyota Tundra DC SR5 57L Joined Jan 23.
When tires are replaced rotated or if air is added to any of the tires the system must be reset. To reset the baseline pressure the need to all be set to the same cold tire pressure. All tires including the spare have been checked each time.
If pressures are low add air and drive truck at 35mph for about 1 mile and the light will go out unless you have a sensor problem but fotha the light will be flashing. After starting a vehicle a TPMS icon will turn on for a few seconds. Now after dealing with it for 6 months or better the TPMS light just constantly flashes.
Turn key to ON dont start motor. I dont want to spend the money o. Hold the TPMS reset button until the tire pressure light blinks three times then release it.
Say 45 all around. I believe one of the sensors was never replaced after an accident. The TPMS sensors including the one on the spare were all less than a month old.
Resetting the system allows the Tundra to accurately measure the air pressure in all of the tires. If this is not for a 4runner there may be a different procedure to reset the sensors but. The blinking light means the receiver can no longer communicate with all the pressure sensors anymore because the batteries in them are dead.
